hi friends! Welcome back to another episode of A Work in Progress: The Podcast.

Today is unlike any other episode because it's the end of an era.

In this show finale, I'm sharing the full-circle story of how my dream of becoming a doctor finally came true… but not in the way I spent nearly a decade imagining. After eight years of pursuing medical school, four MCAT attempts, two master's degrees, countless rejections, moments of uncertainty, and seasons where I questioned everything, I found myself faced with a decision I never thought I'd make.

For years, attending a Caribbean medical school represented my absolute last resort. It was the path I promised myself I would only consider if every other door remained closed. But somewhere along the journey, God challenged me to ask a difficult question: Was I holding onto my own plan more tightly than I was trusting His?

In this deeply personal episode, I'm sharing why my last resort ultimately became my only option, what it looked like to surrender my expectations, and how I found peace choosing a path that once terrified me. This isn't just a story about getting accepted to medical school—it's a testimony about obedience, identity, disappointment, faith, and discovering that God's plan is often better than the one we spend years trying to force.

Whether you've been listening since Episode 1 or you're joining me for the very first time, thank you for walking alongside me through every season of becoming.

As one chapter closes, another begins.

See you in medical school.
